J Wolfgang Goerlich's thoughts on Information Security

Viigo overdrives RSS on your Blackberry

If you have seen my business continuity presentation, you have heard me talk about the longest three hours of my life. That was when the Blackberry network went down unexpectedly in February. The silence was deafening.

Yes, I am an admitted Blackberry fiend. The main reason is because of all the RSS feeds. It is how I keep pace with the InfoSec field; day by day, a few hundred messages a time.

Viigo makes it all possible. Their RSS reader for Blackberry is top-notch. Viigo is fast, easy to use, easy to read, and easy to drill down from the feed into the actual story. I like Viigo a lot. Now they just announced a new project, Tango, which you can see over here on the Viigo website.

Thinking about

Application virtualization. I am preparing for a Citrix XenApp deployment project.

Playing with

Solid State Disks. I am doing extensive testing of enterprise SSD in a Compellent SAN. This includes functional and performance testing. If there is something you are interested about in SSD, or would like testing, drop me an email.
